In the early years of the Yuan Dynasty, the imperial court set up a cotton department to collect cotton fabric cloth from the people on a large scale, up to 100,000 pieces a year, and later made cotton fabric cloth the head of the summer tax. In 1578, in the Ming Dynasty, a cotton spinning master named Ms Cotton, born in Qianjiang, Chu region, was 16 years old. She was ingenious and good at weaving. Her spinning fabrics feel delicate, soft and close-fitting, and her finished clothes are durable and well-loved by the local people. The imperial court repeatedly invited her to serve as the cotton department (equivalent to the head of the cotton spinning department), but she declined. In order to distinguish the crude and shoddy products on the market, each piece of Ms Cotton’s cotton-padded clothes is embroidered with the three characters "呓朵婂"(one cotton). For a time, high-ranking officials and dignitaries competed to buy, and the trademark "呓朵婂"(one cotton) gradually became a household name, and developed to "the ten rooms of looms must have" and "the household must have 呓朵婂(one cotton)". After the liberation, the descendants of the Ms Cotton family opened a textile factory in Qianjiang. After a public-private partnership and equity transfer, it gradually evolved into today's KINGPHAR MEDICAL GROUP.
